Pagan Tattoo is an appointment only studio, operated by Master level tattoo artists known for their wide array of expertise and experience with tattoo styles ranging from Black and Grey realism, Traditional, Celtic and Nordic design, Tribal and Blackwork, forged and honed over 30+ years of completely custom tattoo design. They are known internationally for a fusion of darker imagery and Pagan symbolism. They are the original purveyors of Celtic, Nordic and Tribal/Polynesian tattoos in Western Canada.Their Indigenous tattoo stylings are authentically created, and connected to community and culture.
Pagan’s core creative principles are Innovation, Re-invention, Skill building, and Tasteful design. The Pagan Tattoo approach involves deep diving and research into the subject matter of every design. If your tattoo ideas include elements intended to express history, culture, language or heritage, Pagan knows how to do the research to make your design authentic, including accurate translations and accurate symbolism. Sean and Dave are legendary "O.G." characters in the Canadian tattoo game, and have been creating tattoos in Edmonton as Pagan Tattoo since 1996, making them one of the longest continuously operating tattoo studios in Canada. Certainly the longest established brick and mortar tattoo shop in Edmonton. The shop space is decorated with a large collection of paintings, sculptures and art objects that have been created or collected over the 30+ years of tattooing together. The artists have deep roots in the community, and deep roots in the Alberta Fine Arts and Music scenes as well.
Pagan is located in the Old Strathcona district, 4 blocks north of Whyte Ave., with lots of parking and in a quiet heritage neighbourhood. Pagan Tattoo has a discreet, "by appointment" studio -- unique, friendly and most of all, SAFE. This is tattooing in an adult and professional environment.
