How We Work
Tattoo Studio Hours
We operate on an APPOINTMENT ONLY basis. We do not have regular "open door" hours. Please call 780.413.3289 for a consultation time. Appointments are booked after the consultation has been conducted in person. We are a "two chair" studio, doing exclusively custom work. Depending on how busy we are, and how flexible your schedule is, appointments may involve several months wait. We will strive our utmost to make the wait worthwhile.
Please note - we will not tattoo any of the following images or styles:
"Tribal" / black-work or barbed wire armbands (or any other "t-shirt" tribal), Chinese characters, fingers or toes, faces or genitalia. No Tazmanian devils or similar cartoon characters, nor will we do any "Thug Life" or gang related material.
Fees, deposits and bookings
- We work at a rate of $140.00 per hour
- We have a minimum charge of $140.00.
- For longer sessions of 4 hours+, a flat rate of $500.00 will apply.
- For all custom tattooing, a deposit will be required when the design is commissioned. The deposit will be calculated to represent approximately 1/3 of the complete price estimated for that tattoo. That amount will be applied to the cost of the final appointment, and not before.
- Once the artist has commenced drawing and planning the design, any deposits in hand will only be applicable to the art first commissioned.
- Last minute appointment cancellations are unacceptable, and will result in the forfeit of the standing deposit, unless DIRE acts of fate can be demonstrated as a cause for the cancellation. With proper and reasonable notice, we will always be open to rebooking the appointment without penalty.
- We only accept cash for all transactions. We are not equipped for credit card, debit, cheque or transfer payments.
First time tattoo?
- Come sober, well rested, well fed and dressed in clean, loose fitting clothes. (that may become stained with ink)
- Don't use cannabis or other medications in an effort to minimize the discomfort. The results may not be what you expect.
- Bring some juice or water with you and perhaps a sandwich if the session will be long.
Policies
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time, including instances of artistic difference.
- With no exceptions, we offer no services to those under 18 years of age.
- No drugs, alcohol, children or pets on the premises at any time.
- Patrons must be free of all blood borne and communicable diseases.
- Patrons will be required to sign a waiver, and show identification.
